This is Mark Jones. He likes to rock, create epic animation, eat good food, and party.

Mark Jones – Lead vocals, Acoustic guitar, Keys. Coming from a lifelong music theory background, Mark spent the late 90s and early 2000s as a guitarist/singer-songwriter. During this era he created choral music, acoustic rock and sacred music. Eventually he combined these influences with hip hop and world music, performing solo as Mob Royalle throughout the Pacific Northwest.

He went on to become ½ of the MobStyle hip hop duo, and they gained recognition as one of the premiere acts in the local scene. After recording a MobStyle album at Ghost Pothole Studios, Mark got to jammin with Grace McDonald. What followed were a series of epic collaboration sessions, resulting in the darkly passionate music of The New Mistakes. Mark uses Breedlove guitars, Rhodes keyboards, Blackheart amplifiers and Shure microphones.

This is Kristen Nebeker. She likes to rock, party, and cuddle and kick ass.

Kristen Nebeker – Spawned in rural eastern Oregon, Kristen grew up singing in church and school choirs. Early on, she developed a passion for singing, writing, and entertaining. After moving to Salem in the early 2000s, Kristen had some fun performing up and down I-5 for several years. “KriStyle” was the yin factor of the hip-hop duo MobStyle with her beloved Mob Royalle as the yang. Her wish to sing with a band is now coming true with The New Mistakes. Kristen brings a dynamic stage presence with energy and passion. Kristen uses Shure microphones.

This is Grace McDonald. She likes to rock, party, and cuddle with cats. Metal AF!

Grace McDonald – Guitarist, backing vocalist and songwriter. Grace has sang and played lead guitar, bass guitar, banjo, piano, and much more since she was a teenager and has been a member of leading rock, R&B and western bands for over 30 years including Sick Monkey, Third Circle and Dog on Fire. In high demand for her abilities as a song writer/guitarist, her playing brings a tight, intricate, creative feel to every song the band performs. A perfectionist, Grace’s musical expertise is one of the driving forces behind every New Mistakes performance.  Grace is always writing new songs, rehearsing and working hard to keep The New Mistakes cranking out the tunes. Grace performs with Rickenbacker guitars, Fender amplifiers and Shure microphones.

This is Joe Nelson. Joe likes to rock, party and make the best salsa you’ve ever tasted.

Joe Nelson–Bass and backup vocals. Joe hails from Minneapolis and has been rockin’ since the 80’s performing all over the mid-west in bands such as The Chill and Surveyor. After relocating to the west coast Joe decided to come out of rock retirement to join The New Mistakes. As Joe puts it, “to have a chance to work with these amazing song writers and musicians was irresistible”. Joe is committed to bring just the right groove to the rhythm section. Joe plays Rickenbacker, Fender and Kramer basses through Trace Eliot amplifiers, Mark Bass cabinets, and Shure microphones.

This is Jesse Minick. Jesse likes to rock, party, and idolize Betty White!  

Jesse Minick on drums. Life-long Metal enthusiast and multi-instrumentalist has been performing and recording music for nearly 20 years. Writing and playing guitar in Seattle area bands Vitamin Fat, Mabel, and The Flood. The Flood released “A Fragile Mind” in 2005 putting the band on the map. Jesse also played drums for the black metal outfit Vinland Ghost for a short period of time. After sabbatical in the wilds of Wyoming, Riverton based Death metal group Pound Foolish recruited Jesse for rhythm guitar and recorded an album in 2010. In 2018 Jesse Joined Sick Monkey in Corvallis to contribute to their hard-rocking tunes. Jesse then Joined the Corvallis Oregon based band The New Mistakes filling out the lineup as drummer. Jesse plays Mapex drums, Zildjian cymbals, and Pearl double pedals.
